The Olivet College wrestling team has received the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Scholar Team Award. Olivet’s team grade point average (GPA) of 3.395 ranked fourth-best among 97 Division III schools.
Olivet College senior 184-pounder Ryan Newberry (Grand Junction/South Haven) and junior 197-pounder Jeff Wright (Escanaba) competed today at the 2006 NCAA Division III National Wrestling Championships at the College of New Jersey.

The Olivet College wrestling team finished in third-place (out of 19 schools) today at the 25th Annual Ohio Northern University Invitational at the ONU Sports Center in Ada, Ohio. Freshman Jason Brew (Sparta) captured the championship at 149 pounds and was selected as the invitational’s Most Outstanding Wrestler.
