The Olivet College baseball team ended the 2010 season with two losses against Trine (Ind.) University today at the Cutler Athletic Complex. The Thunder won the first game, 14-7, and then scored four runs in the sixth inning to win the nightcap, 7-3.

The Olivet College baseball team was swept by NCAA Division I foe Oakland University today in a non-conference doubleheader at the OU Baseball Field in Rochester. The two games were contrasting styles, as the Grizzlies won a slugfest for the first game, 19-10, and then won a pitcher’s duel in the nightcap, 5-4, in eight innings.

Junior Beau Felix (Hartland) went 7-for-7 at the plate and junior Ben Kosmalski (Canton/Plymouth) hit a walk-off home run in the eighth inning of the nightcap to lead the Olivet College baseball team to a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) doubleheader sweep over Alma College, 12-5 and 6-5, today at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet.

For the second straight day, the Olivet College baseball team has split a doubleheader with Calvin College. In today’s games at the Calvin Field in Grand Rapids, Calvin won game 7-5 before the Comets bounced back to win the second game, 8-2.

The Britons scored three runs in the sixth inning to pull out a come-from-behind 3-2 win in game one, and scored five times in the third inning en route to a 6-4 win in the nightcap.

The Olivet College baseball team split a doubleheader with Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College this afternoon on a sun-drenched day at Frank Joranko Field in Albion. After Albion won the opener, 9-5, the Comets bounced back to win the nightcap, 8-1.

The Olivet College baseball team dropped a 7-6 decision to Kalamazoo College in the completion of a suspended game today at Woodworth Field in Kalamazoo. The game was stopped in the second inning Saturday, April 3, because of rain.
