The Olivet College women’s soccer team was shutout by Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College, 3-0, this afternoon at Alumni Field in Albion.

The Olivet College women's soccer team was shutout by Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College, 3-0, this afternoon at Alumni Field in Albion.
Albion led 2-0 at halftime behind a pair of goals in a span of just over four minutes. Ali Oatley scored the first goal at the 32:41 mark, and Chelsea Gray scored the second at 36:43. In the second half, Lorin Zelinski put the game out of reach with a goal in the 68th minute.
For the game, the Comets were limited to three shots, all on-goal, and one each by freshman Rebecca Gaarde (Parma/Western), sophomore Danielle Mellor (Macomb/Regina) and junior Cara Underwood (Holland). In goal, junior Megan Colby (Sparta/Cedar Springs) faced 14 shots, six on-goal, and collected three saves.
Olivet returns to the pitch Thursday at Trine (Ind.) University. Game time is 4 p.m.
