Olivet College’s Brann earns MIAA Position Player of the Week honors for volleyball
Olivet College junior Emma Brann (Ann Arbor/Pioneer) has earned Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Position Player of the Week honors for volleyball.
OLIVET, Mich. – Olivet College junior Emma Brann (Ann Arbor/Pioneer) has earned Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Position Player of the Week honors for volleyball. She is being honored for the second time this season and in her career.
Brann posted a match-high 23 kills in helping the Comets win a five-set match over Albion College Oct. 23 at Kresge Gymnasium in Albion. She had only two errors on 43 attempts for a .488 attack percentage. For the season, Brann leads the team with 271 kills and .275 hitting percentage. She also has 52 total blocks.
"Emma continues to demonstrate match after match how well she can see the court," said Olivet Head Coach Megan Merchant. "Her ability to hit around the block and find the open court is really impressive."
Brann and the Comets travel to play Alma College tomorrow evening at 6:30 p.m.
