Women’s indoor track and field team participates in Trine Indoor Meet
ANGOLA, Ind. – The Olivet College women’s track and field team participated Friday night in the Trine University Indoor Meet at the Keith E. Busse/Steel Dynamics Athletic and Recreation Center. The Comets placed fourth with 67 points. The host Thunder were first with 164.5 points, followed by Albion College (113) and Adrian College (88.5).

ANGOLA, Ind. – The Olivet College women's track and field team participated Friday night in the Trine University Indoor Meet at the Keith E. Busse/Steel Dynamics Athletic and Recreation Center. The Comets placed fourth with 67 points. The host Thunder were first with 164.5 points, followed by Albion College (113) and Adrian College (88.5).
- Junior Lillian Albaugh won the shot put with a 40 feet and 8.25 inch mark. She also had the fifth-best mark in the weight throw at 39 feet and 5.25 inches.
- Freshman Tonya Tepin had the top finish for the Comets on the track, as she placed second in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:42.56.
- Senior Kaylee Richardson was third in the mile run with a time of 6:14.33. Freshman Anastasia Sanchez was right behind her in fourth with a time of 6:15.56.
- Olivet had three of the six finalists in the 60-meter dash. Freshman Jersey Gaedert was the first Comet to cross the finish line in 8.66 seconds, followed by freshman Alex DeVault at 8.67 seconds, and freshman Taylor Wilsey at 8.91 seconds.
- Gaedert placed fifth in the 200-meter dash in 28.80 seconds.
- The Comets will go back to Trine next Saturday, February 13, for another indoor meet. The meet features a 10 a.m. start time.
