UOlivet falls to Saint Francis, 6-1

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The University of Olivet women's tennis team fell to University of Saint Francis (Ind.), 6-1, today at the Minges Creek Athletic Club.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• In doubles, there were only two contested flights since the Cougars had only five players. Saint Francis won both flights to secure the first team point. The Cougars then won the five contested singles flights, while the Comets picked-up a default win at No. 6 singles.

FOR THE COMETS

• Freshman Amelia Girard battled in a 7-5, 6-3 setback at No. 2 singles.
• Sophomore Rylee Lewis suffered a 6-1, 7-5 loss at No. 1 singles.
• Senior Alaina McCormick earned the default win at No. 6 singles.

• The Comets start Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play next Tuesday, March 25, at Adrian College at 4 p.m.
