UOlivet beats Berea 7-0 in spring break finale

BEREA, Ky. – The University of Olivet women's tennis team ended its spring break trip with a 7-0 shutout win over Berea (Ky.) College today at the Wilson Evans Tennis Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Comets secured the doubles point by winning all three flights. Olivet then won the six singles flights, including five in straight sets.
FOR THE COMETS
- Freshman Amelia Girard and sophomore Rylee Lewis did not lose any games in a 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles.
- Sophomores Kayden Alli and Madison Golden coasted to a 6-1 victory at No. 2 doubles.
- Freshman Willow Evans and senior Amelia Guerra posted a 7-5 win at No. 3 doubles.
- Girard bumped up to No. 1 singles and won 6-4, 6-3.
- Lewis dropped down to No. 2 singles and walked off with a 6-2, 6-2 win.
- Alli earned a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles.
- At No. 4 singles, Golden won the first set, 6-1, lost the second set, 6-2, but bounced back to win the match tiebreaker, 10-8.
- Evans cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 5 singles.
- Guerra tallied a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 6 singles.
