Women’s Tennis: Olivet defeated by Bridgewater, 8-1, in final spring break match

BRIDGEWATER, Va. – The University of Olivet women's tennis team ended its spring break trip with an 8-1 loss to Bridgewater (Va.) College today at the Mapp-Whitelow Tennis Courts.

• Records: Olivet 2-6 overall, Bridgewater 4-5 overall

• The Eagles won the three doubles flights and earned wins in five of the six singles flights.

• At No. 2 singles, freshman Rylee Lewis picked-up Olivet's lone point. She won the first, 6-2, before losing the second set, 7-5. Lewis came back to win the match tiebreaker, 10-6.

• Olivet begins Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play Saturday, March 23, when it travels to play Trine (Ind.) University. The match will start at 2 p.m.
