Women’s Tennis: Olivet upended by Franklin, 8-1

FRANKLIN, Ind. – The University of Olivet women's tennis team suffered an 8-1 loss to Franklin (Ind.) College, today at Grizzly Park.

• Final Score: Franklin 8, Olivet 1
• Location: Mickel-Hoover Tennis Complex; Franklin, Indiana
• Records: Olivet 1-4 overall, Franklin 1-4 overall

• Franklin claimed wins in two of the three doubles flights before winning all six singles flights.

• Freshman Jordan West and junior Alaina McCormick picked-up Olivet's lone point with an 8-6 win at No. 3 doubles.
• At No. 4 singles, freshman Kayden Alli won the first set (6-3) but dropped the second set (6-4) and tiebreaker (10-7).
• At No. 5 singles, freshman Madison Golden earned a 6-1 win the first set before losing second set, 6-4, and match tiebreaker, 10-5.

• The Comets are off until Sunday, March 10, when they play the first three matches in Virginia during spring break. The match is at Ferrum (Va.) College and starts at 3 p.m.
