Women’s tennis falters against Albion in home-opener

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The Olivet College women's tennis team suffered a 9-0 loss to Albion College today at the Minges Creek Athletic Club.

• The Britons claimed pro-set wins in all three doubles flights. Albion won all six singles matches but needed a super-tiebreaker to win two.

• In doubles, the No. 1 duo of juniors Makenzie Borg and Ally Sears fell by an 8-7 score after losing the tiebreaker by a 7-2 score.
• At No. 1 singles, Borg lost the first set 6-2 but bounced back to win the second set by the same 6-2 score. She then dropped a 10-5 score in the super-tiebreak.
• At No. 3 singles, Sears won the first set 6-3 before losing the second set 6-1. She fell in the super-tiebreaker, 10-4.

• Olivet travels to play Hope College next Wednesday, April 6. First serve is at 4 p.m.
