Women’s tennis team defeated by Saint Mary’s, 8-1

ADRIAN, Mich. – The Olivet College women's tennis team lost 8-1 to Saint Mary's (Ind.) College in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) match this afternoon inside Minges Creek Athletic Club.

• The Belles earned wins in all three doubles flights and five-of-six singles flights.

• Olivet's lone win came at the No. 1 singles position. Senior Desiree Luque Pradas won the first set 6-0. In the second set, she trailed 5-2 before winning the next four games to go up 6-5. Her opponent won the next game to force a set tie-breaker, which Luque Pradas won 7-0.

• Olivet travels to play Albion College Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m.
