Women’s tennis team opens spring break trip with 9-0 loss to Berry
The Olivet College women’s tennis team began its spring break trip with a 9-0 loss to Berry (Ga.) College.

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Olivet College women's tennis team began its spring break trip with a 9-0 loss to Berry (Ga.) College at Hilton Head High School in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
The Comets lost all three doubles flights. The No. 2 duo of sophomores Haley Powers and BreAnne Rudlaff had the closest defeat, losing an 8-5 pro-set.
In singles play, two Olivet players fell in matches decided by a super-tiebreaker for the third set. At the No. 1 position, freshman Rachael Hager lost the first set 6-2, but bounced back to win the second set, 6-4. Her opponent claimed the super-tiebreaker win, 10-7. At the No. 6 flight, senior Jeanette Fisher earned a 6-2 win in the opening set before her opponent won the second set by an identical 6-2 score and then won the super-tiebreaker, 10-7.
After a day off tomorrow, the Comets will play Baldwin Wallace (Ohio) University Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m. The match will take place at the Evian Tennis Center.
