Women’s tennis team comes up short against Bethel, 5-4

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The Olivet College women's tennis team fell to Bethel (Ind.) College, 5-4, today at the Battle Creek Country Club.
After the Comets swept the three double flights, the Pilots on five-of-six singles flights to win the match. In doubles, Olivet's No. 1 duo of sophomore Maddy Drikakis and freshman Rachael Hager cruised to an 8-2 win. Both the No. 2 duo of senior Lydia Drikakis and sophomore Haley Powers, and the No. 2 duo of sophomore BreAnne Rudlaff and sophomore Isabel Snyder posted 8-5 wins.
The only Comet to win in singles play was Hager in the No. 2 position. She won in straight sets 6-4, 6-0.
Olivet travels to play Concordia University next Wednesday, Sept. 23.
