SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Olivet College women's tennis team fell to Bethel (Ind.) College, 6-3, in a non-conference match today inside the South Bend Racquet Club.
The Comets won one doubles flight and two singles flights. Winning in doubles play was the freshman tandem of Haley Powers and BreAnne Rudlaff at the No. 2 position. They won a 9-7 pro-set. Rudlaff also won in straight sets, 6-2 and 6-4, at the No. 4 singles position. Senior Devan Thomas coasted to a 6-0, 6-3 victory at No. 6 singles.
Olivet is back in action Saturday when it travels to play Albion College at 1 p.m. The Comets then host Trine (Ind.) University Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. from inside the Minges Creek Athletic Club in Battle Creek.
