BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The Olivet College women's tennis team was shutout by Saint Mary's (Ind.) College, 9-0, this afternoon at the Minges Creek Athletic Club in Battle Creek.
The match began in doubles play, with the Belles sweeping the three matches. At the No. 2 flight, freshman Alexis Hyatt (Lake Odessa/Lakewood) and junior Courtney Kidder (Davison) lost 8-2. Saint Mary's won the other two flights by 8-0 scores. The Belles rolled through the singles matches, losing only two games in the six flights.
The Comets return to the courts Thursday afternoon for a 4 p.m. match at Alma College.
