Singer named MIAA Player of the Week in women’s tennis
Junior Kelsey Singer has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Player of the Week in women’s tennis.
OLIVET, Mich. – Olivet College junior Kelsey Singer (Brooklyn/Columbia Central) has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Player of the Week in women's tennis.
Last week, Singer won all four of her singles matches in straight sets at the No. 3 position. She also played with Caitlin LaValley to post a 4-0 record at No. 1 doubles. In a 5-4 win over Spring Arbor University, Singer won 6-4, 6-4 in singles and 9-7 in doubles to secure two of Olivet's team points. For the season, she is 9-1 in singles play, including a perfect 8-0 at No. 3.
Olivet will return to MIAA play Wednesday afternoon when it hosts Alma College inside the MSU Tennis Facility at 4:30 p.m.
