The Olivet College women's tennis team fell to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rival Albion College, 8-1, this afternoon indoors at the Ungrodt Tennis Center in Albion.
Freshman Giana Guerra (Lansing/Waverly) had the Comets' win at the No. 2 singles flight to improve her singles record to 9-1 on the season. She won the first set, 7-6, lost the second set, 6-1, and posted the victory with a win in the super-tiebreaker third set. The end result may have been a loss, but none of the matches were easy for the Britons. Olivet played very well with many of the individual games going to deuce.
The Comets next play Saturday when they host Alma College at the MSU Tennis Facility in East Lansing at 4 p.m.
