Women’s tennis team loses to Hope, 9-0

The Olivet College women's tennis team fell to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association leader Hope College, 9-0, this afternoon indoors at the MSU Tennis Facility in East Lansing.

Freshman Giana Guerra (Lansing/Waverly) lost a tough three-set match to Hope's Katherine Garcia. After losing the first set, 6-3, Guerra bounced back to win the second set, 6-4. Garcia gained the victory by winning a 10-8 super-tiebreaker for the third set.

Olivet will wrap-up the regular season portion of its schedule with a 4 p.m. match Monday at Saint Mary's (Ind.) College.
