Women’s tennis team bows to Alma, 6-3
The Olivet College women's tennis team lost by a 6-3 score to Alma College in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association match tonight at the MSU Tennis Facility in East Lansing.
The Olivet College women's tennis team lost by a 6-3 score to Alma College in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association match tonight at the MSU Tennis Facility in East Lansing.
In doubles, the Comets' No. 1 duo of freshman Giana Guerra (Lansing/Waverly) and senior Jaclyn Mummaw (Buchanan) easily won, 8-1. Guerra rallied to win her No. 2 singles match in three sets, 6-1, 3-6, 6-3. With the win, she improved to 10-1 on the season, including 2-1 against MIAA competition. Junior Celeste Gruber (South Haven) also posted a three-set victory, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3.
Olivet will travel to play Kalamazoo College Wednesday at 4 p.m.
