The Olivet College women's tennis team beat Alma College, 8-1, today in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) match at the Alma College Tennis Courts.

The Comets' (5-3, 2-2 MIAA) only loss came at the No. 4 singles flight. In doubles, the No. 1 duo of seniors Mallory Bailey (Kalamazoo/Loy Norrix)-Rachel Vilums (Hudsonville), No. 2 duo of sophomore Jaclyn Mummaw (Buchanan)-Abbie Utberg (Commerce Twp./Walled Lake Central) and No. 3 duo of seniors Corey Jager (Kalamazoo/Loy Norrix)-Lindsey Struble (Battle Creek/Harper Creek) all won.
In singles, Vilums posted a 6-1, 6-2 win at the No. 1 flight. Mummaw had a 6-1, 6-3 win at the No. 2 flight. Utberg won 6-4, 6-0 at the No. 3 flight. Freshman Celeste Gruber (South Haven) claimed a 7-5, 6-3 win at the No. 5 flight, and Struble won 6-3, 6-2 at the No. 6 flight.
Olivet will take a break from MIAA play when it hosts Spring Arbor University Monday, March 26, at the MSU Tennis Facility at 3 p.m.
