The Olivet College women’s team fell to Manchester (Ind.) College, 6-3, today in a non-conference match at the Michigan State University Indoor Tennis Facility in East Lansing.

The Comets (8-8) picked up their three team points with two wins in doubles play and one win in singles play. In doubles, the No. 1 tandem of seniors Mallory Bailey (Kalamazoo/Loy Norrix) and Rachel Vilums (Hudsonville) lost only one game en route to an 8-1 pro-set victory. The No. 2 tandem of sophomore Jaclyn Mummaw (Buchanan) and junior Abbie Utberg (Commerce Twp./Walled Lake Central) won an 8-6 pro-set.
At No. 1 singles, Vilums lost the first set, 6-3 and rallied to win the next two sets, 6-2 and 6-3. With the win, she has an 11-5 record this season.
Olivet will wrap-up its regular season schedule match tomorrow with a 4 p.m. match at Indiana Tech.
