Women’s tennis team falls to Hope, 5-4
The Olivet College women’s tennis team fell to Hope College, 5-4, today in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) match at the DeWitt Tennis Center in Holland.

The Comets won two doubles and two singles matches. Winning in doubles play was the No. 2 duo of sophomore Jaclyn Mummaw (Buchanan)-sophomore Abbie Utberg (Commerce Twp./Walled Lake Central) and the No. 3 duo of seniors Corey Jager (Kalamazoo/Loy Norrix)-Lindsey Struble (Battle Creek/Harper Creek).
In singles, senior Rachel Vilums (Hudsonville) won in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3, at the No. 1 flight. After losing the first set 6-4, Struble rebounded to win the second set, 7-5, and then win a super-tiebreaker, 10-2, to gain the win at the No. 6 singles flight.
Olivet is now idle until Saturday, April 21, when it hosts Kalamazoo College at the MSU Indoor Tennis Facility at 4 p.m.
