Vilums wins eighth straight match

The Olivet College women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Calvin College today in Grand Rapids.

The Comets' (2-6, 0-3 MIAA) only win came at No. 1 singles where junior Rachel Vilums (Hudsonville) claimed a three-set, 6-2, 4-6, 6-3, victory. She stays perfect on the year with an 8-0 mark, including three straight MIAA victories.

Olivet continues MIAA play Saturday, April 1, when it hosts Adrian College. Action from the Michigan State University Indoor Tennis Facility starts at 4 p.m.
