Women’s tennis team falls to Kalamazoo, 7-2
The Olivet College women's tennis team fell to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Kalamazoo College, 7-2, today in Kalamazoo.
The Olivet College women's tennis team fell to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Kalamazoo College, 7-2, today in Kalamazoo. The Comets (2-5, 0-2 MIAA) earned their team points at No. 1 and 6 singles.
At No. 1, junior Rachel Vilums (Hudsonville) lost only two games en route to a 6-1, 6-1 win. She improved her season record to a perfect 7-0. At No. 6, junior Lindsey Struble (Battle Creek/ Harper Creek) rallied to win a three-set match. She lost the first set 7-6, bounced back to win the second and third sets, 7-5 and 7-6, respectively. Both Struble and Vilums remained unbeaten in MIAA play with their wins.
Olivet will travel to play Calvin College Wednesday, March 29, at 3 p.m.
