The Olivet College women's tennis team fell to non-conference foe Ohio Northern University, 8-1, today in its 2006 season opener. The match was held indoors at the Ungrodt Tennis Center at Albion College.
The Comets' win was at No. 1 singles where junior Rachel Vilums (Hudsonville) defeated Kaitlyn McDonald, 6-3, 7-5.
Olivet returns to action Friday, Feb. 24, when it hosts Spring Arbor University at the Michigan State University Indoor Tennis Facility. Action begins at 3:30 p.m.
