Women’s tennis team falls to Calvin, 8-1
The women's tennis team fell to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Calvin College, 8-1, at the Michigan State University Tennis Facility in East Lansing.
The women's tennis team fell to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Calvin College, 8-1, at the Michigan State University Tennis Facility in East Lansing.
Sophomore Rachel Vilums (Hudsonville) picked-up the win for the Lady Comets (9-9, 1-5 MIAA) at the No. 1 singles position. She posted a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Amy Zeilstra.
Olivet will wrap-up its 2005 MIAA regular-season with a match Monday afternoon at Saint Mary's (Ind.) College at 4 p.m. ET. If necessary, the match will be moved indoors to courts at University of Notre Dame. Next Friday-Saturday, April 29-30, the Comets will participate in the 2005 MIAA Championships at Kalamazoo College.
