The women’s swimming team fell to Albion College, 147-83, in a non-conference dual meet tonight at the Dean Aquatic Center in Albion.
ALBION, Mich. -- The Olivet College women's swimming team fell to Albion College, 147-83, in a non-conference dual meet tonight at the Dean Aquatic Center in Albion.
The Comets were led by Crystal Jager (Dorr/Hamilton), who won two individual events. She took the top spot in the 200 freestyle (2:05.34) and 100 backstroke by more than one second (1:05.53). Also winning an individual event was Caitlin Lohr (Holland/Hamilton) in the 200 individual medley (2:21.35).
Runner-up finishes were turned in by Jessica Howard (Fort Wayne, Ind./Homestead) in the 1,650 freestyle (19:14.82), Camieo Green (Battle Creek/Harper Creek) in the 50 freestyle (:26.89), Alivia Hammond (Byron Center) in the 100 freestyle (:59.31) and Kristin Long (Pemberville, Ohio/Notre Dame Academy) in the 100 backstroke (1:06.83). The 400 medley relay team of Hammond, Lohr, Jager and Britnee Jackson (Sturgis) finished in second-place at 4:23.65.
Olivet will rest tonight and travel in the morning to swim a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association dual meet at Alma College, starting at 1 p.m.
