Women’s swimming team loses double dual at Hillsdale

HILLSDALE, Mich. -- The Olivet College women's swimming team dropped both ends of a double dual meet at Hillsdale College. The Comets fell to the host Chargers, 148-35, and Ohio Northern University, 196.50-36.50.
Erica Schlabach (Goshen, Ind./Northridge) had the highest finish, as she placed third in the 200 butterfly (2:25.83). Ally Ramer (Holt) posted a season-best time in the 50 freestyle, stopping the clock in 26.13 seconds. Camieo Green (Battle Creek/Harper Creek) and Jacalyn Cordero (Holland) also recorded season-best times in the 100 freestyle at 1:00.31 and 1:01.24, respectively.
Jessica Howard (Fort Wayne, Ind./Homestead) finished fourth in the 1,000 freestyle (season-best 11:33.34). Alivia Hammond (Byron Center) touched the wall in a season-best time of 2:27.55 in the 200 backstroke. Chelsea Mullins (Macomb/L'Anse Creuse North) had a season-best time of 5:59.30 in the 500 freestyle.
The Comets will rest tonight and then host Albion College tomorrow at the Upton Center Pool at 1 p.m.
