Lingbeek earns All-American honors in 100 back and 100 fly
Olivet College’s Jill Lingbeek (Plainwell) has earned All-American honors in the 100-yard backstroke and 100-yard butterfly at the 2006 NCAA Division III National Swimming Championships, which are being held at the University of Minnesota. She is the first swimmer in school history to earn All-American honors.

Lingbeek placed seventh in the 100 back with a time of 58.91 seconds. During the preliminaries, she broke the school record at 58.66 seconds. Lingbeek finished eighth in the 100 fly at 58.13 seconds.
Lingbeek will compete in the 200-yard backstroke tomorrow.
