Lady Comet swimmers and divers place sixth at Wabash Invitational
The Olivet College women's swimming and diving team placed sixth (of eight teams) today at the Wabash (Ind.) Invitational in Crawfordsville, Indiana.

The Lady Comets scored 238 points to finish just 22 points behind fourth-place University of South (Tenn.). Wheaton (Ill.) College won the team title with 659.50 points.
Leading the way for the Lady Comets was freshman diver Kristin Bloomquist (Holt High School), who was first in the one- and three-meter diving competition. She broke the school record with scores of 219.20 and 232.50, respectively.
In addition, senior Shannon McHugh (Manistique High School) broke her own record in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:41.73. The previous record was 2:42.28.
Freshman Laura Herzog (St. Joseph High School) set a school record in 1,650 freestyle (19:17.45. Freshman Katherine Roesch (Oakland Twp./Lake Orion High School) shattered the school record in 400 individual medley (4:59.35) by more than nine seconds.
Olivet is idle until Saturday, Dec. 13, when it travels to Ada, Ohio for a non-conference dual meet against Ohio Northern University.
