Lingbeek named to the All-MIAA Women’s Swimming/Diving Team
Olivet College sophomore Jill Lingbeek (Plainwell High School) has been named to the 2004 All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Women’s Swimming/Diving Team.
Olivet College sophomore Jill Lingbeek (Plainwell High School) has been named to the 2004 All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Women’s Swimming/Diving Team. Lingbeek led the Lady Comets to a fourth-place finish last week at the MIAA Championships. It was Olivet’s all-time best finish.
At the championships, Lingbeek placed third in the 100 butterfly and set a school record during the preliminaries (1:00.27 ). She was fourth in the 100 backstroke (1:01.91) and seventh in the 200 butterfly with a school record time of 2:18.38. In addition, Lingbeek was a part of three school record-setting relays: second-place 200 medley relay (1:52.50), third-place 200 freestyle relay (1:41.40) and fourth-place 400 medley relay (4:07.47).
