HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a scoreless first half, the Bluejays scored three goals in the second half. The first two goals were scored in a span of just over three minutes between the 52nd and 55th minutes. Elmhurst's third goal came with six and one-half minutes left in the game.
FOR THE COMETS
- Olivet was limited to seven shots in the game.
- Sophomore Emma Essen recorded a team-best three shots. Four other players each had one.
- Freshman Brooklyn Burel played all 90 minutes in goal and made five saves.
FOR THE BLUE JAYS
- Three different players scored a goal for Elmhurst.
- Kim Stanczak had one goal and one assist for a team-best three points. She also took a team-leading seven shots.
- Emily Gordon played in goal and collected four saves.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Today's game was the third time in school history Olivet and Elmhurst faced each other on the field for a women's soccer game, and each of the previous meetings were also played on September 3. The previous two meetings were a 2-1 Comet win during the 1999 season and a 7-1 Blue Jay victory in 2002.
