Women’s soccer team receives 2015-16 NSCAA College Team Academic Award
The Olivet College women’s soccer team has received the 2015-16 National Soccer Coaches Association of America College Team Academic award.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Olivet College women's soccer team has received the 2015-16 National Soccer Coaches Association of America College Team Academic award. The award is presented annually to collegiate soccer teams that have a 3.00 or higher team grade point average (GPA) for the entire academic year. The team GPA is determined by adding every player's GPA, then dividing by the number of players.
Under the direction of head coach Kim McGowan, the Comets posted a 3.62 GPA. The GPA is the highest among the nine men's and women's soccer teams in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association who received the award. It is also the ninth-best GPA among all NCAA Division III women's soccer programs.
