Shots by freshmen Emily Chrzacz (Livonia/Stevenson) and Jordyn MacKool (Berkley) were saved by the keeper in the seventh and ninth minute, respectively. Two more shots later in the first half also were stopped by the keeper. The Comets' best chance to score in the second half was in the 62nd minute.
For the game, Olivet was out-shot 17-8 in total shots, but the Comets did have a 9-8 edge in shots-on-goal. Junior Lindsey Winters (Plymouth/Canton) led the way with four shots, including half on-frame. Freshman Deanna Zolnoski (Macomb/Henry Ford II) played all 90 minutes in goal and collected six saves.
