Women’s soccer team drops 6-0 decision at Hope
The Olivet College women’s soccer team suffered a 6-0 loss to Hope College tonight in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) contest at the Van Andel Soccer Stadium in Holland.

HOLLAND, Mich. – The Olivet College women's soccer team suffered a 6-0 loss to Hope College tonight in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) contest at the Van Andel Soccer Stadium in Holland.
The Flying Dutch led 2-0 at halftime behind goals by Lindsey Bieri at the 1:38 mark and Nora Kirk in the 15th minute. Olivet's best chance to score in the first half came in the 10th minute. Hope scored four goals in the second half. The first was an unassisted by Kirk at the 48:13 mark. The second was by Lindsay Jipping in the 76th minute, and the third was by Anne Krueger in the 80th minute. The last was by Amanda Krause with 37 seconds left in the game.
Offensively, the Comets were limited to five shots, including two for freshman Alexis Nichols (Lapeer/East). Junior Lindsey Winters (Plymouth/Canton) recorded the only shot-on-goal. Freshman Devin Blue (Traverse City/Central) faced 28 shots and made six saves, while playing the entire game between the pipes.
Olivet will host Kalamazoo College Saturday afternoon. Game time at the Cutler Athletic Complex is noon.
