OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College women's soccer team was shutout by Kalamazoo College, 3-0, today at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet.
The Hornets led 1-0 at halftime behind a goal by Jackie Short in the 13th minute. Kalamazoo added to its lead in the 59th minute on a goal by Maria Rich. The Hornets capped their scoring in the 83rd minute when Sam Voss found the back of the net.
Kalamazoo had a 15-1 edge in shots. Freshman Patty Groh (Mason) made nine saves for the Comets.
Olivet will rest tomorrow and then host Alma College Monday afternoon at 4 p.m.
