GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Olivet College women's soccer team lost 3-0 to Calvin College today at Zuidema Field in Grand Rapids.
The game was scoreless for the first 45 minutes of play. The Knights scored the only goal they would need in the 55th minute on a shot off a rebound. Calvin added another goal in the 80th minute and closed the scoring with a goal with just over two minutes left in the contest.
The Comets finished the game with four shots. Freshman Katie Murphy (Berkley) led the way with two, including one on-goal. Freshman Patty Groh (Mason) was the keeper for all 90 minutes and stopped eight shots.
Olivet will play its next four games at home, beginning Wednesday when Albion visits the Cutler Athletic Complex for a 4 p.m. game.
