Women’s soccer team rallies to beat Wis.-Oshkosh, 2-1
The women’s soccer team defeated the host Titans, 2-1, today in a first round game of the 2010 Wisconsin-Oshkosh Cup in Oshkosh, Wis. The Comets will play Carthage (Wis.) College in tomorrow’s second round game.

OSHKOSH, Wis. -- The Olivet College women's soccer team defeated the host Titans, 2-1, today in a first round game of the 2010 University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Cup in Oshkosh, Wis. The Comets will play Carthage (Wis.) College in tomorrow's second round game.
The Comets rallied to beat the Titans by scoring both goals in the final 4:01 of the game. Freshman Katie Clayton (Kingsley/Traverse City Central) got them on the scoreboard at the 85:59 mark. Senior Ashley Buyce (Portage/Central) tallied the game-winning goal off a rebound from a teammate's shot. Junior Lizzy Julian (Mattawan) had an assist on both goals.
Olivet recorded 14 shots in the game to 13 for Oshkosh. Julian led the way with four. In the goal, senior Alyssa Budros (Traverse City/Central) played the entire game and made three saves.
After tomorrow's game, the Comets will return to Michigan and host Indiana Tech Wednesday, Sept. 8, at 4 p.m.
