OSHKOSH, Wis. -- The Olivet College women's soccer team fell to Carthage (Wis.) College, 1-0, today in a second round game of the 2010 University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Cup at J.J. Keller Field in Oshkosh, Wis.
Carthage scored the only goal it would need in the 27th minute off a free kick from 23 yards out. Olivet finished the game with seven shots, including two for junior Danielle Mellor (Macomb/Regina). Five others each had one shot. Senior goalkeeper Alyssa Budros (Traverse City/Central) faced nine shots and made four saves in all 90 minutes of action.
The Comets (2-1) next play Wednesday when they host Indiana Tech at 4 p.m.
