Guerrero named MIAA Wrestler of the Week

HUDSONVILLE, Mich. – Junior Ramiro Guerrero from The University of Olivet has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Wrestler of the Week.

Guerrero had a perfect 4-0 record to win the 157-pound bracket at the Trine (Ind.) University Invitational. He started his day with a 10-4 win over AJ Steenbeke from Trine, followed that with a 17-0 technical fall over Carter Mock from Heidelberg (Ohio) University in the quarterfinals and 11-7 decision over NAIA-ranked Tyler Muldrew from Campbellsville (Ky.) University. In the championship match, Guerrero defeated Emmanuel Scordos from Baldwin Wallace (Ohio) University, 8-6.

Olivet is back in action Saturday when it hosts the Comet Duals inside the Cutler Event Center, starting at 10 a.m.
