The Olivet College wrestling team finished in second-place at the 2018 Mid-States Invitational, hosted by Manchester (Ind.) University and inside the Stauffer-Wolfe Arena in North Manchester, Indiana.
The Olivet College wrestling team finished with a 3-1 record at the 2017 Washington & Lee Duals held inside the Warner Center in Lexington, Virginia. The Comets defeated Greensboro (N.C.) College, 32-13; and lost to Coast Guard Academy (Conn.), 17-15, before bouncing back to beat King’s (Pa.) College, 41-6, and Averett (Va.) University, 44-3.
Junior Tyler Grimsley won the 165-pound weight class for a second time this season, and the Olivet College wrestling team took second at the 2017 North Central College Invitational, held today at the Merner Field House in Naperville, Illinois.
Seniors Ryan Clark and John Leark, and junior Tyler Grimsley all had 4-0 records to lead the Olivet College wrestling team to a perfect 4-0 record today at the 2017 Comet Duals inside The Cutler Event Center in Olivet. The Comets beat Mount St. Joseph, 47-3; Millikin, 19-15; Henry Ford, 39-4; and Univ. of the Ozarks (Ark.), 35-9.
Led by junior Tyler Grimsley’s first-place performance in the 165-pound bracket, the Olivet College wrestling team opened its season by finishing third at the 2017 Trine (Ind.) University Invitational inside the Keith E. Busse/Steel Dynamics Athletic and Recreation Center in Angola, Indiana.
