Wrestlers Finish in 10th Place at the North Central College Tournament
The Olivet College wrestling team finished in 10th place out of 19 teams today at the North Central College Tournament. Coe College of Iowa won the tournament championship with 132.5 points. The Fighting Comets had 59.5 points.
NAPERVILLE, ILL. -- The Olivet College wrestling team finished in 10th place out of 19 teams today at the North Central College Tournament. Coe College of Iowa won the tournament championship with 132.5 points. The Fighting Comets had 59.5 points.
Leading the way for the Fighting Comets were senior 141-pounder Jacob Stenz (Alpena High School) and senior 149-pounder Chris Dunham (Nashville/Maple Valley High School). Both wrestlers finished in fourth place.
In addition, sophomore heavyweight Ryan Tiseo (Washington Romeo High School) finished in seventh place. Freshman 141-pounder Dave Bishop (Algonac High School) and freshman 174-pounder Jeff Wright (Rock/Escanaba High School) were eighth.
Olivet will next wrestle on Saturday, Jan. 25 when it travels to compete in the Manchester College Tournament in North Manchester, Indiana.
