Five women’s golfers selected to WGCA All-American Scholar Team
CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Five Olivet College women’s golfers – Rylee Honsowitz, Kiersen McDonough, Logan McLane, Aynslee Myer and Rachel Webb – have been named to the 2021-22 Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team.
CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Five Olivet College women's golfers – Rylee Honsowitz, Kiersen McDonough, Logan McLane, Aynslee Myer and Rachel Webb – have been named to the 2021-22 Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team.
The criterion for selection is a 3.50 or higher cumulative grade point average. Olivet's five honorees are among the 1,485 women's golfers across all NCAA divisions to be recognized with this prestigious honor.
Honsowitz makes her debut on the All-American Scholar team. In her first season at Olivet, she played in 18 rounds and averaged 90.7 strokes. Honsowitz's low round was an 84 on September 14, 2021, at the Duck Lake Country Club.
McDonough is now a two-time honoree. Over the course of the last three seasons at Olivet, she is averaging 102.4 strokes over 25 rounds. McDonough's low score was a 94 on September 16, 2020, at the Zollner Golf Course and March 30, 2021, at the Knollwood Country Club.
McLane is a four-time WGCA Scholar All-American. During her four years at Olivet, she played in 51 rounds and posted a 96.3 stroke average. McLane shot an 87 for her low round on three occasions. The most recent time was September 10, 2021, at The Medalist Golf Club.
Myer earned this honor three straight years. In three seasons in the red and white, she averaged 88.3 strokes over 46 rounds. Myer carded a career-low 80 on April 15, 2022, at the Blackthorn Golf Club.
Webb is also a four-time honoree. She played in 60 rounds and recorded a 95.2 stroke in her four years as a Comet. Webb's best 18-hole scores were 82s on April 6, 2021 at the Clearbrook Golf Club and a week later on April 13, 2021, at the Duck Lake Country Club.
