Women’s golf team places seventh at Lynn Schweizer Invitational

GRANVILLE, Ohio – The Olivet College women's golf team placed seventh of 10 schools at the 2021 Lynn Schweizer Invitational. Denison (Ohio) University hosted the 36-hole tournament at the Denison Golf Club.

• Olivet posted a two-round total of 699 strokes, including a 340 in yesterday's first round.
• Emory (Ga.) University ran away with the team title, winning by 38 strokes over the host school.
• Ellen Dong and Irene Wong from Emory both shot back-to-back even par rounds to share individual medalist with two-round totals of 144 strokes.

• Junior Aynslee Myer had a one-shot improvement from round one (84) to round two (83) for a two-day total of 167 strokes.
• Freshman Rylee Honsowitz posted a two-round total of 175 (86-89) strokes.
• Senior Rachel Webb carded a 179 (83-96).
• Sophomore Rayna Honsowitz completed her two rounds in 181 (90-91) strokes.
• Senior Logan McLane registered a two-day total of 187 (87-100) strokes.
• Freshman Kennedy Ellis was an individual scorer, finishing with a two-round total of 185 (94-91) strokes.

• Olivet hosts the 2021 Kyle Campbell Memorial Tournament Friday and Saturday, September 10-11. The tournament will take place at The Medalist Golf Club in Marshall. Both days are a shotgun start at 2 p.m. on Friday, and 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
