The Olivet College women’s golf team sits in third-place after the first round of the 2013 O.C. Fall Invitational at The Medalist Golf Club in Marshall.
MARSHALL, Mich. – The Olivet College women's golf team sits in third-place after the first round of the 2013 O.C. Fall Invitational at The Medalist Golf Club in Marshall.
The Comets carded a 344 team score, which is only two strokes behind second-place Carthage (Wis.) College. Bethel (Ind.) College leads the 18-team field with a 328. Allegheny (Pa.) College, North Central (Ill.) College and Wheaton (Ill.) College are all tied for fourth-place with 346s.
Senior Adrienne Plourde (Livonia/Redford Thurston) paced Olivet with an 82 to be tied for sixth in the player standings. Senior Ashley Stark (Grass Lake) posted a 43 on the front and back nines for an 86. Senior Theresa Damico (White Lake/Lakeland) and sophomore Casey Lamp (Kalamazoo/Hackett Catholic) both had an 88. Sophomore Brooke Kastamo (Howell/Hartland) completed her round in 91 strokes.
The second and final round starts tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m.
