Four women's golfers earn All-MIAA honors
Four women's golfers have earned 2010 All-MIAA honors. Lauren Campbell and Amber Conrad are first-team selections, while Theresa Damico and Abby Wheeler are second-team selections.
OLIVET, Mich. -- Four Olivet College women's golfers have earned 2010 All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) honors. Junior Lauren Campbell (Fenton) and senior Amber Conrad (Battle Creek/Harper Creek) are first-team selections, while freshman Theresa Damico (White Lake/Lakeland) and senior Abby Wheeler (Grayling) are second-team selections.
In addition, Conrad is now a four-time first-team honoree, and is the second female in school history to achieve that distinction. Campbell moves up to the first-team after being a second-team selection each of the last two years, and Wheeler is a second-team selection for the second straight year.
The Olivet women placed second in the final MIAA standings for the second straight year. Campbell and Conrad finished in a tie for second in the player standings with 82.3 stroke averages during the six-round league schedule. Damico was seventh in the MIAA standings with an 84.3 average, while Wheeler was 10th at 86.3.
