Women's golf team is runner-up at MIAA Playoff Round #2
The Olivet College women’s golf team finished in second-place at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Playoff Round #2 today at the Blackthorn Golf Course in South Bend, Ind.

The Comets carded a 344 team score. Saint Mary's (Ind.) College was first with a course record 311. The rest of the team scores were Trine (350), Hope (357), Albion (382) and Adrian (410).
Olivet was led by sophomore Lauren Campbell (Fenton). She shot a 77, including a tournament-best 36 on the front nine. The Comets' other three golfers were each separated by one stroke -- junior Amber Conrad (Battle Creek/Harper Creek) at 88, senior Megan Rimmel (Ithaca) at 89, and junior Abby Wheeler (Grayling) at 90.
With its finish, Saint Mary's takes over first-place in the playoff standings over the Comets, 644-672. The final round will be played tomorrow at the Warren Golf Course in South Bend.
