Three Olivet College women’s golfers named to 2007-08 NGCA All-American Scholar Team
Three Olivet College women’s golfers -- freshman Amber Conrad (Battle Creek/Harper Creek), junior Lindsay Pipkin (White Lake/Lakeland) and sophomore Megan Rimmel (Ithaca) have been named to the 2007-08 National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team.
Three Olivet College women's golfers -- freshman Amber Conrad (Battle Creek/Harper Creek), junior Lindsay Pipkin (White Lake/Lakeland) and sophomore Megan Rimmel (Ithaca) have been named to the 2007-08 National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team. They were among the 402 women's collegiate golfers at the NCAA Division I, II and III levels to earn this recognition.
To be eligible for this honor, a golfer must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and have competed in 66 percent of the team's scheduled competitive rounds. Pipkin has earned this honor for the third straight season, while Rimmel is a two-time selection.
The Comets, coached by Bill Maas, won their second straight Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association championship in 2007 and finished in 11th-place at the 2008 NCAA Division III National Championships.
