Women’s golf team ties for team championship at Knox (Ill.) College Invitational
The Olivet College women’s golf team finished in a three-way tie for first-place today at the Knox (Ill.) College Invitational at the Soangeteha Country Club in Galesburg, Illinois. The Comets posted a 356 team score to tie Robert Morris (Ill.) and Wheaton (Ill.) colleges in the field of 17 schools.

Leading the way for Olivet was sophomore Trisha McKim (DeWitt), who earned tournament medalist honors with an 82. Senior Kristy Latimer (Battle Creek/Harper Creek) was next with an 88, followed by sophomore Lindsay Pipkin (White Lake/Lakeland) with a 92. Freshmen Megan Rimmel (Ithaca) and Katie Misko (Alma) rounded out the Comet lineup with a 94 and 97, respectively. Senior Stephanie Nicolai (Shelbyville/Wayland Union) was an individual scorer and posted an 88.
Olivet is back in action Monday, Sept. 11, when it participates in the University of Saint Francis (Ind.) Invitational at the Fort Wayne Elks Country Club. The invitational begins with a 1 p.m. shotgun start.
