Women’s golf team captures team championship at Siena Heights Invitational
The Olivet College women’s golf team captured the team championship today at the Siena Heights Invitational at the Tecumseh Country Club in Adrian.

The Comets posted a 353 team score to finish 10 strokes ahead of runner-up Ohio Dominican University. Leading the way for Olivet was senior Kristy Latimer (Battle Creek/Harper Creek), who was second in the player standings with an 86.
Freshman Megan Rimmel (Ithaca) was third in the standings with an 87, followed by sophomore Trisha McKim (DeWitt), 89; and senior Stephanie Nicolai (Shelbyville/Wayland Union), 91. Sophomore Lindsay Pipkin (White Lake/Lakeland) rounded out the Comet lineup with a 93.
Jennifer Lambarth (Saline), Amanda London (Marshall), Katie Misko (Alma) and Amanda Sanders (Concord) all played as individual scorers. Sanders placed fifth in the player standings with an 88. London had a 97, followed by Lambarth, 98; and Misko, 101,
The Comets wrap-up their fall season next Friday and Saturday, Oct. 13-14, when they participate in the 2006 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championships at the Bedford Valley Country Club in Battle Creek.
